Thanks to its various facilities, UE GCA is able to offer a range of services at several levels (from potting, to micro plots, to large plots) :

• Design of experimental systems and their implementation according to the specifications defined with the partner.

• Agricultural management of the crop, from sowing to harvesting, respecting the protocol (methods of sowing date, density, fertilisation, irrigation, phytosanitary management).

• Low throughput phenotyping including :
  • Poorly instrumented measurements (germination rate, crowding, phenology, heights, diseases, weeds, carbon and nitrogen cycle, yields...).
  • Plant or grain samples that we can dry and grind.
  • As an option:
    • Soil moisture monitoring (capacitive sentek sensors, watemark probes) or radiation measurements with or without the participation of our technicians.
    • The provision of a sample processing room (benches, ovens) if you wish to carry out manual measurements yourself.

• High-speed phenotyping using robots :
  • Design of robot missions (heliaphen/agrophen) and drone missions
  • Acquisitions (images, points...) in the field are carried out by UAV flights and/or the Phénomobile robot for taking measurements in the field. Acquisition dates are defined according to requirements.
  • Data delivery on a support to be defined

• Data processing :
  • For low throughput phenotyping data: descriptive statistics and comparison device analysis
  • For high-speed phenotyping data: automated pre-processing, characterisation of image content and processing of raw data by segmentation and deep learning, simple statistical analysis.
